This course will satisfy 3 hours of required continuing education for contractors and will discuss efficient estimating techniques used to optimize the bidding process, moving on to cover eco-friendly materials, ADA compliant plan designs and energy efficient options for kitchen and bathroom construction and remodels.

We will learn about the concept of the kitchen work triangle and its relationship to functional kitchen builds and remodels. Including, the evolution of the kitchen island from rolling cart to permanent built-in and the feasibility of commercial grade versus professional grade appliances in kitchens. Discover current trends in kitchen and bath lighting design through a review of current lighting technology.

This course provides eco-friendly and ADA compliant accessibility, material and design options available for homeowners looking to "age-in-place". We discuss everything from flooring materials to options and advancements in hot water heaters to the reuse or donation of items salvaged during the demolition process.
